Event Description: A community awareness event held in Al Mouj, Muscat, aimed at educating the public about inherited blood disorders, particularly sickle cell disease and thalassemia. The awareness marathon featured educational booths, children’s activities, and information on the importance of premarital screening in reducing the prevalence of these conditions. The event also supported patients through fundraising efforts while promoting the importance of early screening and community health awareness.

Event Description: “Screen & Be Assured” was an awareness initiative focused on the early detection of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as the assessment of risk factors associated with unhealthy lifestyle habits. The event aimed to raise awareness among staff at the Sultan Qaboos University Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center about the importance of early screening by providing health screenings, medical consultations, and preventive advice to promote healthier lifestyles.
